“cha cha cha… The Martians are here at last…”

NO GRADING, only THE BEST PREPARATION AROUND.

That would be the way to go for us. What moves us is the notion of sharing and expanding our knowledge while strengthening our capacity for utmost attention. We are looking for partners more interested in knowledge than in titles; but we can also help you obtain the titles that will help in backing-up the knowledge you have acquired.

GOLDEN RULE::  To compete with yourself while cooperating with others.  Herein the modus vivendi we advance. Solidarity in sharing knowledge while measuring yourself in relation to your own potential and strengthening your human and vocational potential to the utmost.

“SMALL IS BEAUTIFUL”, as we have learned to observe. For this reason, we are looking forward to putting together a first group of approximately 8 students interested in joining this effort to create an alternative kind of learning experience: one that takes into account our specific environment along with the various opportunities for communication we have at hand –the older ones as well as the emerging ones.

WE FORESEE:

1. Organizing our work into 14-15 week units, starting mid-October, with one to two weeks free between the different units, including Xmas (two weeks) and Easter (about 10 days).

2. Group work  would take place between 1:00 or 2:00 o’clock and 5:00 or 6:00 in the afternoon during the dry season. During the heaviest rains –July, August and September—meetings may be called for in the mornings instead.

3. Plenty of time available at home and in our meeting places for enjoying reading and concentrated study.

4. Convivivial gathering as part of the learning process.

5. Access to an extended library by way of a network of friends –al champion readers..

6. An individualized excursion into the subject matter along with interdisciplinary observation  through teamwork and research.

7. One to one tutorials. Evening gatherings in town for some special reading circles.

8.  SATURDAY’S SPECIAL ACTIVITIES:   theatre (in Spanish, English and French), arts and crafts, organic farming, exercise(s), music and dancing at Los Ailes.

9. Free-to-loaf-Fridays…  with an optional cultural/social activity in the evening.

10. Individualized tuition plan in keeping with the study program itself.
